Make it possible for our families to stay in District 28:

• Change Hawaii's building rules so more apartment buildings can be built faster and with less red tape

• Allow more homes to be built on smaller pieces of land so we can add housing without needing to find new land

• Cut the long wait times for building permits so housing can get built sooner and cost less

 

Why is this on my platform?

Too many of our families are being pushed out of the neighborhood they grew up in because rents keep going up and there aren't enough homes. The reason housing is so expensive here is simple — we don't have enough of it, and it takes too long and costs too much to build more. I want to cut through the red tape so that more homes get built faster, right here in our district, so our families can stay.
